And I'm back, after I don't know how long since I've posted. Between busy with work, life, the wiff, and everything else I just kind of forgot about LJ. But I'm here in lovely Salt Lake City until mid-September, so I figured I'd pick up some things I've stopped doing. I've got a brand new moleskin pocket book already halfway filled with bits and pieces of a story I've had developing in my head for I don't know how long. I've actually be eating healthy and drinking *dramatic music* WATER, and I had my first soda in about a week. That tasted soooo good too. Tomorrow I'll start running again, training up for the marathon I somehow got suckered into running -.- Peer pressure is one thing, but coworker pressure from people who dictate whether you get promoted is another. Hopefully I'll be able to run it, if not, I could use the exercise anyway.
I thought it would be horrible being here for so long without being able to play World of Warcraft, but it's nice to take a break from the addiction. There really is an IRL server, and all this time I thought that was a myth Blizzard used to get people to play more out of fear. The moon was red tonight, and I noticed that because I was actually outside instead of inside playing a game that won't ammount to anything in a few years when they stop supporting the servers. It's sad when you think about it, so many people dedicate so much of their time and life to something that ammounts to nothing in the end.
Highlight of the day: Got to finally meet Pinoy (aka Marty) and his cousin Erik. Great people. I've known pinoy for a few years now, got close when dad died on Christmas, so it was good stuff to just sit around and talk about how things used to be, how he was, the things he did. I'm a bit jealous of the fact that he saved his nice side for random people in an online game (Anarchy Online) but it's good to know that he had a nice side. At the end he was grumpy all the time and taking it out on us. Guess the old saying is true, you hurt the ones you love. Anyhoo, bedtime, it's late.
